EPD has combined experience of over 50 years in the areas of tax planning, estate planning, pension, planning and insurance planning.
EPD associates have had their own successful individual practices in the fields of taxation and pension planning, estate and insurance planning and insurance services before becoming part of EPD.

In the changing economic and demographic dynamics coupled with complex and ever-changing tax laws, successful business people and retirees seek a cohesive group working together to deliver well-thought-out solutions to enhance wealth and retirement income. Executive Plan Design Robert Price has personally placed close to $1 billion dollars of life insurance during his esteemed career and is recognized as an expert in insurance and estate planning, having worked with many local and nationally known firms through the years. Mr. Price established Executive Plan Design in 1986, building it into a top producing company that handled Pension, Group Medical insurance and Life insurance for both Businesses and Personal use. Bob entered the insurance business in 1971 where, during his first year, he was voted the “New Outstanding Underwriter of the Year” with the San Jose Life Underwriters. Since that time, he has made MDRT status every year in business, attaining both “Court of the Table” and “Top of the Table.” He is an MDRT Life and Qualifying Member and has been in the Top Leaders Clubs with Fidelity Union, Connecticut Mutual, ManuLife, John Hancock, Kansas City Life, and MetLife. He has also been instrumental in developing insurance products for Phoenix Mutual, ManuLife, Guardian, John Hancock, and Kansas City Life. He is a member in good standing with Financial Planners Association, National Life Underwriters Association, Society of Financial Professionals, and MDRT, having attained their highest awards. Mr. Price is also a seminar speaker on Estate Planning and Taxation. Prior to starting his insurance career, Bob had renown in the music industry. From 1964 to 1971, he performed as a professional singer & musician playing with many national and international touring acts especially in the Blues genre. He played, most notably, with B.B. King, Albert King, Paul Butterfield, Al Cooper, Dave Sanborn, Mike Bloomfield, Vince Guaraldi, Charlie Musselwhite, and many others just to name a few. Born in Utica, New York, he moved to San Jose, California in 1963, graduating from Leigh High School with honors as a member of the Honor Society and CSF. He attended the University of Santa Clara earning a Bachelor's Degree in 1970. He also holds a Doctorate in Finance with emphasis in Insurance from a division of Oxford University, England -Special Studies. Bob and his wife, Cindy, have four children and six grandchildren. Brian J. Harrigan was born on July 29, 1984 in Sacramento, CA. He moved to Gilroy in 1986 when his father accepted a position with Gilroy Veterinary Hospital, which soon became a partnership in the business.
Brian’s roots in Gilroy have stemmed from his family’s long time involvement in the community. Many know him through his parents, Dennis and Renee Harrigan, who have been involved with the Gilroy Garlic Festival, Rotary, Kids Discover Arts, and St. Joseph’s Family Center for years. Brian’s involvement in the community began as a young teen. He volunteered in Garlic Festival Parking and Signs where he and his parents helped raise money for youth sports. In addition to his volunteer work at the Garlic Festival, he also enjoyed doing community service at St Joseph’s Family Center.
Brian attended Palma High School in Salinas, CA where he graduated in 2002. His studies led him to the University of Arizona, where in the fall of 2006 he earned at Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing from the Eller College of Management. Shortly after graduating, he took a position with Health Net of CA and became licensed to sell life and health Insurance. While Brian was laid off in the market crash of 2008, his passion for insurance led him to positions with BEN-E-LECT of Visalia, Pacific Diversified, and Wellpoint Inc. where he managed territories that ranged from South San Francisco to King City. Corporate emphasis in the industry focused on selling product rather than educating clients, which left him frustrated.
Having overcome some medical issues, Brian decided it was best for his family and clients if he worked as a independent broker, with an emphasis on life insurance and employee benefits. This allowed him the flexibility for time with his two son, David and Anthony, and ensured he could offer products that best suited his clients' needs. Brian began working with Hannah Insurance Group in 2014 and was introduced to Robert A. Price of Executive Plan Design shortly after coming aboard. This introduction sparked a passion for advanced financial planning. The same passion he once had for employee benefits, before given changes brought by the Affordable Care Act.
Brian is currently enrolled in CFP courses through Bryant University to advance his career and enhance his depth of knowledge in advanced financial planning. He has become an integral part of Executive Plan Design’s planning process. Brian is an active member and Ambassador for the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce in addition to his volunteer work as an Associate Community Worker at Rebekah Children’s Services.
